Opening savings vehicle in UK from NZ

Anyone know how I can do this? The NZ/GBP rate is dire and will be for ages so we're going to tie up some cash we have in the UK rather than bring it over to NZ. I'm looking for a 6 to 9 months lock in to get some interest on £50k

I'd love to hear if anyone has got any suggestions?

We had to change our UK current account because we were moving to NZ so I am guessing that not everywhere will accept us as punters now we live overseas.....
Currently living in New Zealand wondering if the exchange rate will ever improve

On the contrary. The NZ/GBP rate is wonderful (if you happen to have much of your assets in NZ dollars at the moment).

You, unfortunately, have it rough both sides. The term you are looking to put your money away for will only give you interest rates around 1.5%, signiicantly lower than the 5-6% you could get for the same term in NZ and, of course, you don't want to convert to Kiwi at the moment.

There is no easy answer for you, except wait.
