Season Ticket Insurance

I'm going to get a season ticket loan from work to buy an annual spt zonecard but I'm slightly concerned about loosing it.

Does anyone know if it's possible(/worth it) to get it insured and if so by who and at what cost?

Had a quick search on google but I couldn't see anything.

Not that I am aware of. I looked into this a couple of years ago and although some household insurance policies will provide cover for tickets, they all had a value limit massively below the cost of a season ticket (up to £2,000 for yours).

I see that the T&Cs for the SPT Zonecard say that they won't replace a season ticket if it is lost or stolen, at all, ever, not even once. That is significantly worse than a rail season ticket, where they will replace it once if you lose it or have it stolen, and possibly a second time if it is stolen again.

As SPT in their FAQ say that because they don't do refunds "insurance is recommended", I would ask them for a list of insurance companies offering such insurance. I suspect that you will get a brush off ("we don't recommend anyone, up to you to find, etc"), but if so I would be tempted to keep escalating the issue up the management chain to point out the stupidity of the statement if nobody sells such insurance.
