Rate Jacking - Have they followed procedure?

Interest rate gone up by 5% on my BOS card. What im bothered about is i was not given any notice whatsoever and only noticed on my new statement because of the increase in interest and payment.
So they need to give notice???

Also im led to believe they should give you the option of closing the account at the current rate and you pay it off using this rate.
How does that work, as i had a couple of late payments about a year ago and they stopped any use of the card so i was just paying it off. If i cant use the card can they still increase payment.
Would rather close this and pay at current or what was the current rate.

Check the microscopic print on the few statements before. It's not uncommon to 'hide' the notification on these somewhere.

Ive had a look a cant find anything. My statement are online either it is not there or im blind.

Can anyone advise on this. If they have given notice but i have misssed it can i still argue they neve gave me the option of closing card and paying at the then currrent rate.
Want to phone them up but need to get my facts right first.
