My wife enjoyed the Hilton, some years ago, paid for by a supplier.
Wonderful room, and super view over the Vatican, but a taxi ride into town.Neil0 -
Oh the Rome hilton is nice is it????
I have Hilton hotel vouchers and opted to go to Paris Hilton as it looks nice and from the site/reviws the Rome Hilton didnt look to good so i ruled it out straight aways when considering where to go for a quick break but if its nice so you say then maybe its a consideration again...
...any one else been to it???
...any one else got any comments and views on the nightlife in Rome for young 20yo looking to party??0 -

I stayed at the Hotel Fontana opposite the Trevi Fountain on my honeymoon. It's not luxurious but it's quirky and would go back.0

Stayed here last summer and found it excellent:

here are some reviews:
I cannot say enough about this hotel. It's quaint and small and the location couldn't be better. You can walk to the Pantheon, the Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain, and the Coliseum/Roman Forum are a short taxi ride away.
The best part of this hotel is the 2 rooms on the top floor that have private balconies that overlook the city of Rome. It's the perfect setting for a late night 'wine and cheese' fest.
Breakfast is included and the staff is very helpful.
Looking forward to visiting the Della Torre again in the near future.
The location is really excellent -- 5 minute walk from Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Room was nicely decorated and the marble bath was WONDERFUL! Breakfast was nice. There is no concierge, but the front desk staff spoke good English and were helpfulexcept that they did not take telephone messages from our callers. I had not been to Rome in more than 30 years so I am not really up on hotel prices. This hotel was about $200 per night at a special rate arranged for us by another hotel that had cancelled our reservation at the last minute. Normally, the Argentina is quite bit more expensive. It seemed very pricey for being a simple business hotel, but it was very clean, nicely decorated, and very safe. Depending on the price, I'd stay again.
Spacious and tastly furnished rooms, very good breakfast, excellent location on Piazza Argentina archeo-site and within walking distance from Campo de Fiori and major monuments. Excellent stay for business.
I agree with all those comments. Not cheap but very nice and superbly located.0 -
