Please help, I applied to Abbey for my bank charges totally 430 to be refunded to me, they have wrote back saying because i am in financial hardship they are willing to refund a total of 110 back to me covering the previous 12mths worth of bank charges that have been applied to the account. I never wrote & said i was in financial hardship so i don't know if they are being sneaky in offering me this money. If i accept does that mean i will be unable to claim for the rest of the charges applied in that 12mth period or will i still b able to apply for the rest once the test case has been dealt with?? I don't know wat to do for the best. Do not think that is an acceptable ammount to offer.

Their offer is about 25% which seems fairly standard and they have said that it goes back 12 months. If you accept the rest of the charges will be paid on the conclusion of the OFT test case issues. I think it's a positive response. Please help, I applied to Abbey for my bank charges totally 430 to be refunded to me, they have wrote back saying because i am in financial hardship they are willing to refund a total of 110 back to me covering the previous 12mths worth of bank charges that have been applied to the account. If you have credit card charges at all then remember that they are next on your hitlist since there is no hold on reclaiming(that includes the £12.00 charges).0
