Hi all,
Ever since I had more memory put on my computer a few weeks ago, I keep getting the above error message appear. Anybody any idea why and what I can do to stop this?
The extra 128 RAM I've had added to my 256 RAM has made no difference to the speed BTW. It's an old computer (7 years), so think I'll probably need a new one eventually ... just delaying the inevitable for now.
Cheers,
MimiJane

You could try a repair of IE http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=318378 (its a MS explanation)
Or try resetting IE, Open IE tools internet options, programs tab, reset web settings then then take out tick of reset homepage then yes then ok) that may help but it wont harm the PC.0 -

Had this myself some time ago. It was one of my memory modules thats was faulty.0

Yeh sorry, I mean stick...
I had 3 sticks of 512MB Kingston 333Mhz. IE would throw up errors completely random, games were ok, multimedia was ok etc, the only other thing that failed was Prime95 torture test. This would fail within seconds of starting.
I tested each stick seperately wih Prime95 until I found the faulty one, I sent the stick back to Kingston and thet gave me a new one within days

Aaah Cheers mate module = stick.
Yeah I had some kingston ram aswell and wow did it screw with my photo package as that was a high memory user but IE was ok funnily enough I only got the one stick so sent it back and they replaced it no probs and said it was a bad stick from a faulty batch.
Now looking for prime95 as I use memtest and that takes a while.0
