I'd like to start a shoe box collection point within my village as we head towards armistice day and obviously Christmas, but need to contact a local co-ordinator. Anyone have any idea where to start?
Many thanks.

I know the BFPO have asked in the past that people don't do these collections at christmas as it clogs up the system and prevents parcels from family members getting through at a time where they are most appreciated. So not sure if many places do them now or not.0

Have you been in touch with your local British Legion?0

As EmmEve correctly states the BFPO should only be used to send parcels to named service personnel. This is achieved either through approaching individual Units, if you have one in your area, or through as tojam suggest the RBL.
Please see the link from MoD regarding an alternate scheme.

I was recipient of a shoe box during the Gulf and it was greatly appreciated - although some of the things included were a bit random! There is plenty of advice on what to inc on this forum.0
