Do you need to tell CC company you are going abroad? I know years ago you had to but ahve not used one for many years but taking one this time in case I need it.

I went last year and told Nationwide - they weren't bothered to know.
I told egg (as back up card), because they tend to stop my card at the drop of a hat!
I would tell them just to be on the safe side - you can usually email them so it's no bother.0 -
Always tell them, but they may well block it anyway so take a back-up.0

Will give them a ring tomorrow, I remember last year telling bank for my debit card and they blocked my online banking !!!!! different departments apparently and when I tried to log on from abroad it flagged it up. Suppose I had better rmeember to tell bank as well lolTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0

it depends on the company, there was an article in the Daily Mail in the last couple of weeks giving a list of the cards that want to know and those that dont.
but probably better off giving them a phone just to make sure.2023 wins - zilch, nada, big fat duck. quack quack,0
