Sainsburys online

Options
I just wanted to give a little praise, i bought a breville kettle with my grocery shopping online with sainsburys. 6 weeks later i noticed that it was leaking, i e-mailed customer services. They were fast to reply and gave me a refund code to put in on my next shop. No queries, no problems.. Thanks sainsburys.;)

Not surprised at that - I'd not trust Evans to sell me a kettle at the best of times.
  • We have tried out most of the online grocery suppliers and have settled on Sainsburys - we have had a couple of occassions where we have had someone elses bag delivered instead of one of our own. Phoned them and they said keep the bag (it had around £15 of meat in in!!) and they put the stuff we did not receive back onto our credit card with no quibbles whatsoever.

Another thing I like with them is that if they are running late (or even early), they will phone and let you know and check its OK.

A thumbs up to them from here as well.

Experiences with Tescos is opposite. Stuff was missing and they needed a lot of convincing we were not trying it on - on more than one occasion. We stopped using them after a 9pm delivery did not turn up until 11:45pm - no apologies or nothing.
  • I am happy with Sainsburys online too. I tried them all and found Asda to be the worst.

Everyone thinks Sainsburys is the most expensive, but in my experience it isnt - maybe for a few things, but to be honest its worth paying a few pence extra for the good service.

I bought some profiteroles and realised they were out of date (after we had eaten them!) - I rang up and they sent me £10 plus a refund.
  • Sainsbury's also deliver within a 1 hour time slot rather than two. We find they have most things available unlike others (Asda being the worst in our experience) but their prices seem to be creeping up a bit lately, and there's been a 750 ClubCard points code so it's been Tesco here.
  • Do you use my supermarket? Its fab. As long as you enter your shopping list and allow it to find( then you are not guided with offers) the items, you get a fair perspective on prices from asda, tesco, sainsburys and waitrose. I wish morrisons were on line as their food is fresh and lasts.

  • I use Sainsbury for my online shopping. 1 day they were running late I got a phone call said he was half behind. He turned up 5 minutes late then said will get me a £10 voucher for my next shop for the inconvenience. Then 4 days later I had £10 in my account. Totally surprised.
I like to think I can help but its for discussion purposes only so if I get it wrong please feel free to correct me.
