Canelling credit card but paying debt HELP

Hello all

I am going through a divorce at the moment and due to a complete change of circumstance (lost my job)
When I was married I had a credit card which was under my name but used for every day family things.
Now that I am unemployed and raising kids I am also left with £6000 on 2 credit cards with the same bank.
I am really struggling, I have made all the minimum payments but im struggling and I cant afford to pay anything extra off the card which means im paying about £150 a month onto the card and only clearing about £50 of debt (figures approx without looking)

I agree the debt is mine but I would love to know is there anyway I can get the bank to cancel the cards and the silly high intrest rate and just pay off the debt?
Im not working so cant get a low interest loan.
As I say its my debt and im happy to pay it BUT is there anyway I can get this to a place i can afford to do it?

Any ideas would be great
