just thought it odd how the OP wrote "At Christmas a BMW ran into the back of my car" implying it was the fault of the other person.
If they did it, they would have written "At Christmas I reversed into the back of a BMW"...
You're right, the wording IS odd.
The OP could also have said:
"At Christmas I was involved in a car accident and my insurance company decided I was to blame etc etc."
I may be me but there seems a lot more to this than the OP has declared in his/her initial post.
Although the OP is not a newbie, this is the first post in almost 3-and-a-half years.0 -
I hate it when the OP asks a question then disappears......:j30/7/10:j

I had exactly the same thing from my accident 18 months ago. I got a text message a couple of days ago saying I could be entitled to £3700 from the accident I had! I have no idea where they got my number from!
Apologies for derailing, but until the OP returns anyway...
In regards to the above quote: The text message that you received was unlikely to have anything to do with your incident at all. I have got those messages also, as well as others that I know that have not been involved in any incidents - they appear to text an amount of generated numbers/people and hope that from those people like yourself, that have coincidentally been involved in a smash at some recent time, take the bait and contact them..."Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

this happened to me in May just before my exam.
Was involved in an accident and my insurance company admitted liabiliity. They paid out a sum of money. Then the day before my exam I arrive home at 2am from the library and find a court summons. I start to freak out as it was for £10,000 as well.
Lovely peole on this insurance forum replied to me at 2am and reassurred me that I should call the insurance company first thing in the morning and then forward everything on to them.
Thats what I did and everything has been sorted.
Dont worry your insurance company will sort it0 -

I received one of these text messages yesterday.
I only use my mobile for emergencies and never, ever give the number out except to close friends so I don't know how they got hold of my number.
Maybe they're psychic as I've not yet had an accident. :rolleyes:0 -

I would imagine that this is yet another wind-up post and the OP is talking absolute nonsense and we`re silly enough to reply.
A car ran into the back of me and it`s my fault!

If we showed that attitude to every post on this forum, then there'd be no help given to those who actually need it. If you look closely, you'll notice this this the first post the OP has posted in over 3 years. There could be a number of reasons why the OP hasn't responded yet, such as family issues, to sheer ignorance. Read into that as you may, but I certainly don't feel "silly" by replying.I would imagine that this is yet another wind-up post and the OP is talking absolute nonsense and we`re silly enough to reply.

Well from (possibly) the op's comment on this page:

Always check your …
Always check your mirros o0"
I'm going to guess that the OP pulled out infront of someone who then couldn't stop in time and so crashed into the rear of him... hence OP's fault.0 -
