Balance Transfer

Ive recently got to grips with my credit cards and sort it out making a plan to clear and put a stop on spending.

Im thinking of making a BT soon to cut down on my interest

Im switching between two cards onto a promotional rate if they give it just waiting to clear the card first and should be offerred a rate such as 6 months free.

Im transferring over to a card thats got a higher APR rate usually - should I just transfer about 500 pounds paying it off over the 6 months of my free or reduced APR or transfer more I dont want to make it costing more in the long run.

Thanks for any help
