Question re Capital One's Underwriters in 2001

Who were they?

The FOS have advised me to find out. I would, as they suggest, consult my Policy Booklet BUT I WAS NEVER SENT ONE!!!!!! Grrrrr!

Thanks

    Hi there

    Have you requested a Subject Access Request (SAR) at all?
    Where they have 40 days to send all the info they hold on you, this should include details of any finance you have had, even or hopefully underwriters work, but otherwise I think its a matter of contacting the ones who sold you the finance to double check on this.;)

    SAR template below link with details, hope this helps.

    However there are loads on here who had had dealings with Cap one, hopefully the ones who had finance with these in 2001 will also post up with the answer for you, good luck.;)

    Yeah, it one of the things they were fined for here.

    The FSA found that as a result of its inadequate systems and controls:
    • Capital One failed to send a policy document to more than 50,000 PPI customers between January 2005 and April 2006, although they did receive a policy summary;
  • Hi there
    Did you have any luck finding out who the Underwriters are? The FOS have told me the same thing.
    If you have the answer that would be great.
    Many thanks
