'Virtual' Secure Storage

Hi there

Just wondered whether anyone could recommend a Virtual secure storage solution... so that myself and a colleague could upload documents and share them centrally without the requirement of owning our own server.

Advice appreciated.

Thanks

Cheap and simple is to set up a Gmail account which basically 1gb storage to start and i think its now up to 2gb. Its free, so wont cost you a dime. Then both use the account.

Create suitable lables which will act like folders. The great thing is all the documents will be searchable.

You need someone to send you a referal for gmail you cant simply sign up for it. If you need a referal drop me a mail with your email and ill send you one.

    regards

Even better is streamload.com with 25GB free storage although some limitation on the download size for the free option.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????
  • Thanks (although I can't seem to 'thank' anyone any more.

Trouble with Streamload is that the basic version has too small a download limit - and the first step up seems quite pricey...

As for Gmail, I need a horse for a course. It has to be built to manage files and folders easily... not as attachments etc. But thanks for the idea.

    Any other solutions out there?

    Gmail Drive
GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google Gmail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your Gmail account directly from inside Windows Explorer.
  • Cheers - Gmail drive looks good!
