It's not automatic but if you have a case then the case fee is £500.00 and it's double for business accountsQuickie

If your case is dismissed are there any charges incurred by the complainant?0

There is an allowance for something like 5 free complaints and then £500 for every complaint thereafter.
However, the FOS can waive that on frivolous complaints (to prevent people creating a charge for the firm to spite them). There is also a filter process in place now that can get some complaints resolved before it gets to an adjudicator and incurs the charge.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
