Mozilla Firefox problem

I use BT yahoo for my email. I have just had BT helpdesk on the phone as I could not add an attachment to any emails. After checking with Internet Explorer there was no problem so he advised me it was a Firefox issue that he could not help me with. He also said to use IE as it was better. Am I not correct that IT people usually say to use Firefox?
Can anyone help me get back to using Firfox and attaching files to my emails please?

What version of Firefox are you using? What plugins/add-ons do you have?
Oh, and I wouldn't take a BT 'tech-support' persons advice too seriously. You shouldn't have to live with Internet Explorer!0 -

Which version? BT Yahoo Mail Classic or the new version? No problems adding attachments here using the latest version of Firefox 3.5.3 with the BT Classic version.
What happens when you try to add an attachment? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Thanks to both of you. When I checked what version I was using it suggested I upgrade to 3.5.3 After doing this I can attach my files again. I am using the classic btyahoo. Yesterday I tried the other and it took ages before it let me change back again!

I have a similar kind of problem when using firefox 3.5.3 for webmail, when I compose a message and attempt to copy and paste text from another application I get the error message:
'Unprivileged scripts cannot access Cut/Copy/Paste programatically for security reasons'
If I try the same with IE 6 then there is no problem

I work in IT and both IE and firefox have benefits over each other.
I personally stick with Firefox, but just because its always looked better and now with personas its even better on the eye.
Glad you got your problem sorted.0 -
