  • I have now been rejected:confused::confused::confused::confused:
  • I haven't had any e-mail, rejection nor acception, yet.. Maybe they check if your account was in the beta, and how many bug reports one made, etc.

    Just a hunch.

Edit: Just checked on the site, and it says I was "not a finalist".
    Aw well.

I signed up to Windows newsletter ages ago, and recently ive been selected to host one of their windows 7 parties in October!:money: I just got the email a couple of hours ago so i signed up, saying that i would host a party! I have looked to see what you get if you host one and heres the list...

    All hosts will receive:
    • One limited Signature Edition Windows® 7 Ultimate
    • One Deck of Playing Cards with Windows® 7 Desktop Design
    • One Puzzle with Windows® 7 Desktop Design
    • One Poster with Windows® 7 Desktop Design
    • Ten Tote Bags with Windows® 7 Desktop Design for hosts and guests
    • One table top centerpiece for decoration
    • One package of Windows® 7 napkins
:D Lucky me for once! I dont think that you can sign up on their website, but heres the link just incase you want to have a shot (hope loads of you get a chance!):T
With these parties, are they expecting the party guests to order the product at the party (like at an Ann Summers or Virgin Vie party)?

I got rejected as well, why did they take the applications in the first place:mad:, i thnk i have to resort to buying windows 7 as i am stuck with crap vista.
  • Do note, Ali137, that Windows 7 uses Vista as a base.
If you have a more recent PC (dual core, Intel or AMD, 2.2GHz or more with 1-2GB RAM) then the performance between Vista and Windows 7 is, more or less, the same.

With all the latest updates, there's barely any difference between Windows 7 and Vista w/SP1, apart from the UI and other 'features' (the new speedier search can be integrated into Vista through SP2).

Vista isn't bad, to be honest. Since SP1, it's been more preferable than XP for me, both in terms of usability and performance.
