Hi
Since our little one was born 8 months ago, I had a website up with pictures of him, for friends & family to access. I also had a guestbook on there that started getting strange comments on it, mainly from spammers. But led me to thinking that I didn't really want pics of the little one available for all to see, so I took the site down.
What I'd like to do is password protect the site, letting invited family members in only.
So, what's the best way to do it? I'm with F2S, who offer Frontpage extensions, PHP,SQL, CGI etc.
I've had a play with SQL & PHP, so can get my head round it, is there some free script I could use somewhere?
Cheers

If you want to keep everything on your own web site, you can password-protect the entire site or a sub folder, using .htaccess and .htpasswd files (see Google).
Alternatively, put the photos on something like http://www.flickr.com/, where you can invite only your friends and family to see them.0 -
If your web host gives you a cPanel control panel, there is an option in there to password protect single directories or the entire website.0
