Speccyblue - don't even think about "trying this out". But having said that if you ended up at court they may well be lenient as you'd have given them the biggest laugh they would had in ages.

The basis of the article is based on a complete misunderstanding of a legal term. If there was any way that CT payment couldn't be legally enforced a) someone much cleverer and more qualified wpuld have found this, and b) Parliament would immediately alter the legislation to make enforcement legal.

What's wrong with not wanting to be ripped off by this Government? If it turns out to be nonsense then so be it but I don't think there is any harm in investigating it. I would rather be out there finding out answers and questioning things than sat at home with my blinkers on.
