Help! Moving Home

in Phones & TV
Hi, I’m hoping someone can help. We are in less than two days time moving home. We currently have a package with Tiscali in which we pay for TV, Broadband and Phone, all for £20. This even includes the line rental, which was taken away from BT when we subscribed to Tiscali. It is a very good deal, but unfortunately not transferable. We are moving outside our exchange radius and so we shall be changing our phone number. The property into which we are moving has a BT line, but we shall have to renew a contract with BT and to the best of my knowledge this means that we shall be obliged to sign into a one year contract. But we don’t really want to pay BT all that money in line rental for a service that we rarely use and especially after not paying line rental while subscribed to Tiscali. You may be thinking, well just contract into BT and then opt out and rejoin Tiscali. To do this would incur an early cancellation/termination fee. Some people have had to pay up to £160.
Does anyone have any Ideas? You’ll have to reply fast, because after tomorrow, Tuesday will have no access to the web. Any ideas would be much appreciated though.
Thanks D

There is a free installation offer on at BT ending 30 September, maybe you can have the phone now and shop for others once settled in the new house. Hope this helps.0
