Colours ran in wash

Options
Help! I am in deep disgrace with DD as her "favourite" tops and jeans have "run" in the wash.

Will look for the colour run remover product later - but in case that does not work - has anyone any good ideas?

I am a bad mother,sob!:o

All you old stylers please help me rescue my self respect as I would rather lose this over something more interesting than the laundry!;)

Oh elona, that's all you need right now. Have a look at these older threads to see if they help:

    Dye - colour run disaster

    Dye run - bleach?

    Dye run - green

Dye run on whites - now pink

Used colour remover on half the clothes and it seems to have helped.

Went to Tesco to get DD another couple of vest tops while the ones that were affected were in the washing machine.

Got back an hour or so later and DH had hung them out on bright sunshine and baked the *********** stains in!!!!

Flung the lot in cold water and then put them back in the machine with soda crystals and oxiclean!

If that does not work I will have to spend a few more hours tomorrow trying out Ace bleach and anything else I can think of.

WHY DO MEN NEVER EVER LISTEN?

I could cry! I have begged him not to hang out daughters clothes because he ruins them and I am in tears trying to sort out the damage!

Do I have to threaten him singing soprano for the rest of his life - which could well be a short one given the way I feel at the moment!

Rant over - its done me good and I shall get back to sorting out the results of his "help" later.

Isn't it typical - the only time they do a job is when they shouldn't! My ex once switched on the tumble dryer despite being told repeatedly not to put it on that day. Why? Because it was an old one that got hot - and sitting on top was our Christmas turkey (defrosting). I came home to find a half cooked/half frozen bird and spent christmas eve trawling the supermarkets for fressh turkeys! Glad he's now my ex ;-)

    Kazonline - :rotfl:

My male housemate once thought he was being helpful when he put a load of my washing in our rickety old tumble dryer. It ended up costing him £75 as he ruined three of my underwired bras which can't be tumble dried

(We now also have a new tumble dryer :D)

Maybe I should stick a large notice on the washing machine that reads

    TOUCH THIS AND DIE!

Could considerably startle Dd's schoolfriends when they visit though!
