As far as useability goes, it is alright - cheap, easy to use and monitor stuff, but from my own experience it is outsold by ebay 100 to 1, if not more.
They are very keen to recruit sellers, but do not seem to make much effort in getting buyers to the site. And there's a bit of a problem with that as far as being a seller is concerned!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Your other issue willl be that paypal is still widely used on the site, so trying to sell without it will be a disadvantage to you and limit your sales even further.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. After the auction ends both buyer and seller can communicate and sort out a MOP using the AAL (After Auction Log.) Integrated payment options include PPPay.com, PayPal and Google Checkout. All the advice you could want is easily found in ebid's helpdesk FAQ's.i thought ebid offered other payment services
Though I doubt I'd buy from someone unable to offer Paypal.0 -

People still prefer to use paypal rather than other services even on ebid.
There are also ongoing issues with payment types on ebid, you do need to register a card with them so if you have issues they may not accept you. According to the forums they also cannot accept card payments for some enhanced accounts and you need paypal to make payments to them.
Give it a try of course, see how you get on.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You cannot use the AAL though unless you have a paid for account, and people are experiencing problems with paying for an enhanced accounts with a card. The advice is to us epaypal instead and the OP has had her paypal account closed.
If you try any form of invoicing without a paid for account you get this:

NO!
These are not to be trusted! They say one thing and do the other, apparently there is a limit, but you can go over this look what happened to me:
I bought a camera off ebid but the guy changed his mind after i paid, he rejected the money of pppay.com and i had to pay the transaction fee of £21! Then they would not let me withdraw the money as i was in a limited account! (according to the site it should have stopped me for spending that much) So i cant withdraw my money, plus i have to pay a withdrawal fee of £14 over 14 days!)
Don't go anywhere near ebid or PPPay.com. The customer service is rubbish and they don't give a dam. Currently awaiting another response that's not copied and pasted before i report them to FSA.0
