Do you eat banknotes or something?
Only kidding...you are certainly letting it disappear somewhere. Do you buy £10s worth of food each time you stop for petrol? I used to when I was 18/19....most of my diet was derived from Texaco!! I think it is just creeping away on little bits every day.
Vow to keep all your receipts for a month so you at least see where anything has gone on the sly. If you are an 18 year old male do you drink litres of coke?
Luckily you have far more coming in than going out so that is reassuring! You just need to find out where you keep losing hundreds before your salary goes up and you misplace even more!0 -
hello rictus123,
A spending diary is the first stepThere will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Had a little problem with previous post.
Start a spending diary TODAY to find out exactly where your money goes. That knowledge will shock you but also give you power.
If you want a spread sheet programme do not buy one. Use the FREE open office. It is used by millions around the world (including me)

A few comments...
Thanks for all the replies. I only pay £100 a month rent as its digs to my mum, this covers electic, food, internet etc. My gf is a fully qualified hairdresser so i dont need to pay for haircuts :P I only go out 1 night a week max and costs are halved with my gf/split with mates so i dont ever spend more than £50 a week now on going out, maybe i used to....Nothing down for holiday as i dont think im going away on holiday until 2011 so il start saving for it when i get my next payrise, July 2010. Then il be saving about £100 a month for 10 months. £1000 will be plenty for this.
So realisticly with these spends and £200 currently banked £2000 at xmas is defo possible in your opinions? Aiming for £2500
