I got an email saying I was a runner up so I have won a fashion shoot and pamper experience worth £150 plus £50 against any photos purchased.

Is it a scam? :( The only thing I could think of is if the photographs are like over £100 so the £50 toward is the scam part but surely not. She can be such a Debby Downer sometimes!!!!

You might get £50 off a purchase but they cost hundreds.

Have a google and see if anyone else has experience with them.

you might find that the the £50 against photo's doesn't get you anything - but you'll still have the glam up day and photo shoot - the only problem is they take you into a room after and give you a really hard sell - best bet is to say you have tickets to a show to get out fast!

that said anything where they ask for a deposit may be dodgey?

You have to pay £40 though?

"NB all sessions require a £40 deposit fully refundable to ensure participants turn up. Winners will be at the studio for 3-4 hours."

    :/

To be quite honest, it looks like a 12 year old has designed their website too.

It's not a 'scam' per se, they do your hair and makeup and take some pics, but they really give you the hard sell at the end, and pressure you to buy the pics. If you are easily pressured don't go! Or at the very least leave your credit card at home!
I went to one and got some nice pics, didn't cost much as I didn't give in to pressure and only bought the ones I liked :)

I've heard that you have to put a deposit down (because some people don't turn up) and then you have a job getting the money back. Not sure whether thats relevant to this. Have a good look into it before you go and don't hand any money over.

Edit: Sorry Lokolo didn't see your post

I can't comment on this particular company but I just wanted to say my sister, her friend and I went to a "New ID" Photoshoot experience at the beginning of this year (we booked it using Virgin Vouchers I won on the Big Snap). I see makeover/photo shoots get slated quite a lot on here but it really depends on your expectations. I read up online before I went and a lot of the feedback was quite negative. I'm really glad I read it as it gave me low expectations ....because we really had the best time ever. So good in fact, that I am treating my daughter to a kids photo shoot for her 11th birthday in November. I wrote a review on my blog here which might help you make your mind up.
