Not much, my Panasonic is rated at 550W. Most of the time during a bread making/baking cycle not much is happening; a bit of stirring, a lot of waiting and finally the baking. I would estimate about 45 mins to an hour for baking, which is when it is using most power.
With electricity at 8 to 9p per unit, I would estimate the costs per loaf to be about 5p.
A bargain !0 -
thanks. so it works out quite cheap really.0

use one of these to find out how many kwh it uses in a full cycle, or over a week.

I use those packets you get from Tesco, mix by hand, leave to stand, into the oven, a bit pricey though.0

But make sure you put the mixing paddle back on its spindle properly. Otherwise your next loaf will look like this. And you'll be afraid to put the light out at night !!

Spend £14.99 to see that your breadmaker uses 5p worth of electricity - hummmm, am I missing something here ?0
