EDF - No response to complaints anymore?

Called to complain and was givena complaint ref and i asked when will i hear from someone. The lady told me that she doubts i will get a response, it just has to be logged so we don't make the same mistake again.....is this right?

If you want to make a proper complaint you really should write to them.0

Well what is the complaint? If you tell us that then maybe we can tell you more about the best way to complain and whether you should expect a response or not.0

I presume its about the compliant that was raised as a separate thread by the guy.
Basically customers calls up 4 times to set up DD but for some reason the DD has failed to be set up. EDF then ask customer to pay for the energy they used and didn't pay for via DD as it was not set up.
So customer owes the money as they have not paid anything and used energy, but as it may be EDF's fault that the DD wasn't set up they may offer some form of goodwill discount as they may have wasted a customers time.
As bill is only £400 I wouldn't expect much more than a tenner.0
