Best cream floor tiles for "keeping clean"

Ok I know cream floor tilers will show dirt ( good thing in my eyes!!) but is there a particular type which are easier to clean? I bought a large plain matt tile and have had it down on the kitchen floor and after 24 hours it was rotten. I was wondering round all the department stores at the weekend wondering why their cream floors all looked perfect, even though thousands of shoppers where shuffling all over them!!
Those of you with cream floors how often do you find you are having to mop them?
Thanks in advance

We had the same concerns when tiling the kitchen/family room and "road tested" over a dozen different tiles. Each time we got some new ones, I'd send the kids out in the garden in their wellies with the instruction to stomp their muddy feet on the tiles.
We eneded up with cream tiles with a small amount of colour variation in each tile and also had a slightly irregular surface. This way the mud disappears in the colour variation and because there is not a perfectly flat glossy surface then it also disguises dried water/mud etc on the floor.
It gets swept regularly and needs mopping because of food spills rather than dirt from the garden every couple of weeks or so.

We have these ..no real problems with cleaning but then it doesn't really get many muddy boots. Sweep it more regularly than we wash it - only really wash it every few weeks or after spills. We don't walk in with muddy boots and always wipe non-muddy shoes on the door mat by the kitchen door.
Can't see it too well in the B&Q website photo but our tiles have an irregular surface too - deliberately wanted something like that so it's not as slippery when wet. Sort of glossy surface to them rather than matt and as it's made up of a few colours i don't think dirt stands out as much.
