bt not good

hi,

it started like this i started painting the house and pulled out the bt line .
so i called bt to fix the problem thay sent a man to put a new cable in ( about 3 miters ) we asked him how much would the cost he said i dont know thay will bill you for it and omg £300 rang them and there is nothing we can you we still have to pay it . he was only here 1 hour made him a coffee when he finished we started to talk to him for about 10 mins and he said he was here 1 hour and 10 mins so billed us for that .

and yes will be moveing from bt as soon as the bill is payed .i still dont know how thay can charge £300 for 3 miters of cable

it's not BT exactly but Openreach , the charge they made is standard and would have cost you the same regardless of which supplier you are with (Openreach do repairs for ALL suppliers except the Cable ones ).They are not just charging you for the cable but the engineers time.
