Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties', then 'Device Manager' from the 'Hardware' tab (this is if you're on XP, I think it may be called 'Tasks' on Vista but I can't check). Scroll through the list until you get to 'Network adapters' and click the + next to it to see your network cards.0

control panel/device manager and network adaptors
when you say network card they may be one built-in in providing network between two pcs or more and a router and also a wifi card
This program can tell you what hardware you got http://www.sisoftware.co.uk/

Options include:
-Look for an Ethernet socket on the back
-Post the make/model number on here and perhaps some nice person will google for you
-Read the manual
-Look for clues under control panel > system > device manager (network adapters)0 -
Goto Start --> Run...
Type cmd and press Enter
Type ipconfig and press Enter
If you have a network card, you should see something like:
"Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:"0 -
Thanks to all - I'll check this lot out tnite.0

We would have done but have tried google and no answer came and the manual is - as seems to be usual on so many nowadays - not complete or assume we're all brilliant @ P.C.'s and some of us ain't.
Thanks anyways.0
