How to backup all data???

Rememeber, Vista is user friendly, hit the start button, at the bottom you will see a search bar, type in "Backup and restore center" click on the option for it. It is quite easy to do, just follow the steps. Question, does your laptop have a big hard drive? was it split into 2? Dont know! Search in that bar for "computer" click into it, and you will see your drives, my 2nd part of my drive is an "E" drive. Anyway I ask because I reckon you could backup your system files to that drive. if you do have a future problem, u would start windows in safe mode, and recover your system files. Alternatively you could back up to a external hard drive, or DVD`s (not sure how many it would take). Hope this helps. Al0
