Advice on selling a Niessing wedding ring please?

Hi All,
I'm looking to see if anyone has advice on selling a wedding ring.
I know that I can take it to a jeweller and expect them to buy it for scrap metal value, but the ring in question was designed by Niessing and I'm reluctant to sell it for scrap without finding out if the fact it's a Niessing means it has any additional value.
My guess is it doesn't - but I'd like to find out for sure!!
All help gratefully received.

Its sad that such rings end up as scrap.
I have a Cameo which i wear all the time and because i am getting a new diamond pendant for a big birthday i was intending to wear that one all the time.
the history on my pendant was that an old lady died over in Italy and she collected these Cameos (mine is one with a bust of Augustus on it, and not the usual 'lady') and an antique jeweller bought all these cameos and brought them back here and mounted them onto 9ct gold. The sentiment means a lot so i couldnt possibly have sold it to a jeweller at the weekend who offered to give me about £15 for it. Cant help you with the designer bit though,
At least you know on ebay, someone will buy it who actually wants to wear it
good luck.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
How old, how worn and has it been inscribed? All would have an effect on any value. Why not get it weighed accurately and then you at least have a base price. Do some searches on EBay and see if they sell for a premium or not.
Do you have a local jeweller that you could talk to and perhaps see if he would take it on sale or return?
I imagine though it will be scrap value unless you can claim it is virtually unworn.0 -
Why not go into one of the uk neissing stores, and see if they have a pre owned section?
Just googled their website - its gorgeous - off to look at ebay now!!0
