I have line rental (which includes unlimited weekend plan) with BT. It costs £12.50 a month. I use planet talk for my calls (free at night and at weekend) and usually end up paying a couple of pounds a month for day time calls/calls to mobiles. BT have sent me paperwork saying I can have line rental and unlimited calls evening and weekend for £11.25 a month if I sign up for a year. This seems better but I am not sure if I would be paying more for my daytime calls/mobile calls than I do with planet talk. It is not a big amount I would save but wondered if anyone knew what is best. I cannot combine my phone with Internet and TV stuff.

There's not much point in you changing. BT are offering you exactly what you have now but require you to agree to their 'renewable' 12 month contract.
I'd suggest (see the HERE link in my signature below) you open a www.18185.co.uk account and make your weekday daytime UK 01/02/03 and UK mobile calls using the 18185 prefix but leave your BT line and Planet Talk CPS A/C unchanged.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
