Can't open Outlok Express/Recieve EMail

Would appreciate any advice if possible, I cannot open Outlook Express, nothing happens when I try to, this started on Saturday night when I could open it and it said it was receiving mail but no mail came through even though it was left on for a couple of hours. Sincer then I cannot open it at all thus I can't receive my e-mails. I am with Btinternet andhave checked their status report but it is not showing any problems. Have run all scans but nothing untoward there either
Can anybody help please?
Also, have system restored it but to no avail.
