JSA Mortgage Interest Support

-
Hi DMG,
After loosing my job I received JSA (CB) for the first 6 months and because I had funds from occupational pension lum sum when I lost my job I did not apply for JSA (IB) or mortgage interest payment until after insurance stopped paying the mortgage (another 6 months). So I was just signing for credits only as proof of actively seeking work as it was a requirement for insurance company. I paid a lump sum towards the mortgage to reduce my mortgage payments. I have got left about £6000 in savings.
I dont really understand why I shouldnt be entitled to JSA IB or mortgage interest payments?
Thanks0
