in Credit cards
Well im confused!
I have £1800 on a credit card that I would like to move to a credit card with 0% interest.
Lots of cards are giving this as you are all aware, and lots of them say that there is not balance transfer fee.
But do they all have a 'handling fee'.
Ive just give up on the small print!
I know that it can be only around 2% but are there any free ones?

I got a 9mth 0% HSBC cc and did a transfer onto it from another card and didn't pay a fee or anything, not sure whether that offer is still onPanda on My Shoulder
If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it :rotfl:0 -
I guess you mean £1800 overdraft ...warrentdo wrote:I have £1800 in a bank account that I would like to move to a credit card with 0% interest.
...on balance transfers from other credit cards usually.Lots of cards are giving this as you are all aware, and lots of them say that there is not balance transfer fee...
Yes, about 2% on cash withdrawals as you know. However, 0% introductory offers are only on BTs and/or purchases, not on cash advances. But do they all have a 'handling fee'.
I'd advise you to read Martin's articles Super BTs and Stoozing (see links in the blue bar above), but if it is so difficult for you to read T&C, this is probably not for you ...Ive just give up on the small print!0 -
I will try again.
I have £1800 on a credit card and wish to move it free of charge to another credit card on 0% intrest.
I am looking for zero charges, no transfer fee, no handling fee, no nothing.
I dont need cash advances, or even new purchases.
I will have a look at the links that you sent just because i carnt be bothered explaining the small print thing. Im sure you always read all the small print.0 -
go to branch of Barclays
get 0% barclaycard.
pretty sure it doesn't have a fee.
Need a MULE card to do transfer with though.
as OP said read the BT bit ont he MSE site.just in case you need to know:

In this case read Balance Transfers article (don't miss a full list of Credit Cards which offer 0% BTs without charging a fee ).
See also http://www.stoozing.com/0fees.htm and make sure that your old card and the new one are issued by different providers: http://www.stoozing.com/cards.htm.0 -
I dont think that you are correct.
I have just checked your link to 'a full list of Credit Cards which offer 0% BTs without charging a fee )' and they do charge you a 2% fee? Well the ones ive checked are the Natwest and barclaycard.

Unfortunately as these terms change all the time, some comparison tables go out of date. (To be fair I bet it's a right chore for Martin and his team to keep all this up-to-date).
Try a few more on the list Warren

Yes, information about Barclaycard is probably out of date, although I cannot check this because Martin's advice was to apply in a branch. Also, if you read the above Martin's article, you should have noticed these comments:warrentdo wrote:...I have just checked your link to 'a full list of Credit Cards which offer 0% BTs without charging a fee )' and they do charge you a 2% fee? Natwes site states this clearly too that the feeNot all cards are available to everyone, some banks have special offers for their own current account customers (see NatWest, RBS, and Barclays notes)or have better deals offline rather than online.
...
Special Option for Natwest or RBS Customers. Also at 9 months 0% no fee are Natwest* and RBS* but only for existing current account customers who are new to credit cards.doesn't apply during the first three months if you give your NatWest current account details during application0
