Just bought a 128mb Rage graphics card for my 2002 year Elite Group K7 Motherboard running an AMD XP 1800 CPU.
When I install the card and connect it up the PC does not boot; can anyone advise me what I am doing wrong? It may be faulty, maybe not.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

sounds like its not fully seated in the mboard slotdont confuse me with facts I need to think here!!!!0

that's right, if it is not fully in the AGP slot then the pc wont boot, you will just get 11 or 12 beeps from the BIOS
If it just does not do anything, even no beeps then it could be the voltage problem mentioned above. Most motherboards will not fully run if it detecs a piece of hardware that the voltage is wrong so it doesn not blow.0 -
It may not be fully in. The click slot on the board won't close fully and I do not want to force it.0

Does the PC make any attempt to boot, e.g. hard drive light coming on? Do the fans still spin up?0 -
make sure you disable the on board graphics on your motherboard via control panel before you fit the new card - i had the same problem when i fitted a new graphics card to a dell a couple of years back - apparently the two different devices create a conflict which stops your pc booting up ( your pc manual should tell you how to disable on board) - hope this helps0
