Who are the best company for car hire in the algarve??
Want to hire a car for a week in August..picking up and dropping at Faro airport.Focus/Astra size.

I have listed a few here I have AV Rent a car and have found their service very good.

Haven't used them in Portugal, but Carjet are the most competitive broker for holiday areas in Spain.

if you do go ahead and book with avis ensure you take the excess waiver option which is only payable at the desk when you collect the car (open a nationwide current account to utilise its debit card and avoid the foreign exchange and visa fees)...you could call avis to clarify the amount before booking but i imagine it would be approx £2-3 per day...hope you get a great deal!
