Thank you Pooky, it is good to be back, in not visiting the site I have put it all out of my mind, which is SO silly because THIS feels so much better
I have only been off work a few weeks but I have to say I LOVE it. I love being with my DS, he is so funny and clever and loving and I have missed him so much while he was in nursery. I know it is early days but all the worries I had about being bored and finding it unfulfilling... well so far I just don't, I find so much more satisfaction than in my cruddy old job, even in just keeping the house organised - which let's face it, can be quite repetitive and mundane - but it still feels good to be taking control of it all.
Off to toddlers now, 50p for tea and toast :money:0 -

Good luck with your budget - you can do it.
Pile everything to the back of the shed and stick a freezer in there.
I'm finding Asda good for meat bargains at the moment - they deliver in my area.
I am going to pop to Asda with DS this morning after toddler group and check out the cat food prices and see what else is on offer - oh the glamour of my life :rotfl:0 -

Have you tried the 'daily clicks' DD? I've done quite well and got loads of vouchers which I was saving for Christmas presents. (unfortunately used them to get me through).0

Apologies if you have already bookmarked the above site but I've always found it handy.
Does OH file his own tax returns? I worked self employed, I did use an accountant but was suprised what I could write off against tax, such as tools, work clothes, travel expense, telephone, computer supplies, etc.
Have a chat at the local tax office there not all bloodsuckers some are quite helpful.
