I think it's more of an cancer info magazine, funded by subscribers. But with free stuff you can ask for. I don't know if it's a registered chartity (I haven't spotted a reg number).

There's 2 types of membership as well £10 and you pay P&P, and £25 to join and prepay postage.

I'd estimate that I've had about £40-50 worth of stuff (in about 6 months). Though they probably won't be stuff to suit everyone (it's costume jewellery, and DVDs, and bath smellies, and sometimes food). I can't speak for other members, but I think I'm getting my money's worth.
  • I've had my moneys worth I reckon and then some. I paid for my membership through money I had on Paypal from doing Lightspeed surveys so in a way it felt like it cost me nothing. I would have got even better value had I not waited weeks before requesting my first freebie cos I was waiting for a wii game to get posted. Now I request something as soon as I can rather than wait for anything in particular.

i'm confused with the requests limit, i read on site yesterday you could only request something once every two weeks, here someone said once a week and is that you can only request and actually get something once a week or is it just once a week you get a shot (or every two weeks or whatever) and if you don't get it tough you have to wait however long to ask again?

    i'm very very tempted but....
  • i also wondered about the members to members freebies, what sort of limitations are there on those?

personally i think doing that is wonderful so i'm def up for this sort of thing but i just want a very clear idea of what my realistic chances are of getting things before i pay up

i actually have a lot of things i could and would offer up to the members freebies if i felt it was worth joining up for the site overall

The confusion lies in the fact that at one time freebies could be requested once a week and then it was changed to once a month for new members. But now this has been revised and it is DEFINATELY once every 2 weeks. You see something you want and if it's been at least a week since you successfully applied for a freebie you can ask for it. If you are in time (ie not all claimed already) you get it. If not look for something else. You can claim as often as you want but to make it fair to everyone you can only actually get a freebie once every 2 weeks. Hope this makes it clearer.

I think it is worth the fee. I find this more true with the no postage option as that way I do not have to consider whether the value of the freebie is actually more than the postage.

The part people don't talk about is the wishes part. This is where people post wishes and people can endeavor to make that wish come true. The member to member freebies might be a way of passing on some prizes we get that turn out not to be of use to us. I often rush ahead and enter a comp without reading it properly. Not sure whether the request limit is different on these but if yu Email Lynn she will be happy to tell you I am sure.

thank you so much that does make things a lot clearer

i think after i've got my move over with i'll join the site, right now i have to much going on and i can't really be sending off for anything just now

i'm looking forward to this it sounds like fun!
  • I thought I'll post whenever I get anything so people will actually get a better idea. Yesterday I received some OXO kitchen tongs and a newly published book priced at £9.99 to review and keep. :j I'll let you know next time I get something athough I should add that as I joined before all the changes when you could qualify for a giveaway once a week I am still under these rules until my year is up.;)
  • Today I received some lovely Foster Grant Sunglasses to replace a pair I got some weeks ago from the Giveaways but which sadly got damaged in the post. These are really nice and have a £29.99 price tag on. :j
  • Are review products only every two weeks too? Or are they seperate to giveaway products?
    September Ten Pound a day challenge: £10 a day/£300 a month
Days into challenge: 25 money made £210.67:j!

I've just joined because, at a cost of just over £2 per month, I can request goods every couple of weeks. I like the idea that I can put together a collection of items for impromptu gifts this way.

The website is full of Information on many subjects, and it is firmly establishing itself as a must-visit site for all women.
Pink Wishes is not a charity however because of my own battle with cancer we have a cancer support and advice section
where cancer sufferers can access the kind of information I was looking for when I was diagnosed with cancer.
The newly developed membership scheme gives visitors the opportunity to become an integral part of Pink Wishes.
We have developed Membership because we didn't want to bombard you with advertising on the website.
We offer companies the opportunity to send in their products for our Members to keep, either as Giveaways or Reviews,
or to offer our Members Discounts, this works better for our Members, and also for the companies.
Visitors can take the opportunity to post a wish, on the wishes page, either for themselves or for a loved one; Pink Wishes
have been able to help grant many Wishes that have been posted on the website, and this is something that
    I am keen to develop.
Pink Wishes is a business, however because I am so passionate about helping others facing cancer, Pink Wishes
organise wellbeing days for people affected by the cancer. These days allow people who are suffering from or
rrecovering from cancer to experience a host of complementary therapies designed to promote healing, health and wellbeing.
The commitment to providing and promoting these days is wholly important to me, as I want to help people live life to its fullest
extent, a key philosophy of the site itself.
Pink Wishes is about life, and how to enjoy it - whatever stage of life you are at!
