owner of a piece of land

hello, I need to find the owner of a piece of land. Now I know the land registry can do property if you have an address, but land isnt easily addressed. Can someone point me in the right direction. thanks

    Its still the land registry but you need to supply a plan showing the location of the land. The plan must be drawn to a scale of at least 1:2500 or 1:1250, whichever is the largest scale Ordnance Survey map available for the area. You will also need to fill in form OC1 downloadable from
    http://www.landreg.gov.uk/publications/default.asp?fl=1&pubtype=1
    and attach the plan to it and send the completed form to the correct district land registry for the area in which the land is located. http://www.landreg.gov.uk/regional/areas/
    Its £4 per copy.
