New roof for conservatory

We've got an old style wooden framed conservatory (lean-to shape). We've had the windows and patio doors replaced, only the roof is left to do. It's currently corrugated plastic.
Any ideas on how much would be reasonable to have it replaced and fitted ? I've had a quote of £1800 which seems steep to me, for a polycarbonate replacement with 5 sheets thickness. The size is 3.3m x 2.4m approx. Is that too much or fair ?
Thanks guys.

Weve just had quote for a new roof for our cons.ours is about 10 x 12 (sorry, i was taught in English so that is in feet for £1475 and we are more than happy to go with that. I think you'd be better getting a couple of other quotes to be honest.
Where abouts are you in the country. (i can see from you profile that you do a major commute to work);)make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
the sheets are about 80 quid for 4x1m. so 3 sheets for say 240 quid.
so it seems a hell of a lot for the labour.Get some gorm.0 -

oh could someone see my post too, the roof component for our lean to thing which is 16x5 feet is 1440. to have foil in the polycarbon to filter out the heat is 250 and then to have a vent put in which you can open with a screw handle is another 450, but obviously the roof on its own is 1440, i thought that was ok (its the doors which have shocked me!!!!)0

Sorry, I'm not familiar with timber structures. Truly Conservatory Repairs, who are based near Manchester offer a wide range of specialist conservatory repair and cleaning, including replacement roofs. Unfortunately they deal with PVC and you may be outside their areas that they operate in - information may be useful to somebody else though.0
