Are You Entitled To A Grant

After my parents having their loft insulation done for nothing, i started looking if they could get anything else, and i came across this. Its known as "THE DECENT HOMES STANDARD" and quote "The Decent Homes Standard is a Central Government directive. It states that all housing should, by 2010, be wind and weather tight, be warm and have modern facilities." This means aged people over 70 or people on certain benefits can get the full cost, or part the cost of stuff like double glazing and insulation through grants. I dont know wether when it says by 2010 it means the end of 2009 or 2010, maybe someone who knows more about it could comment, but i suggest anybody who thinks they may be or know somebody who maybe entitled to such grants should get in touch with their local council. Im not to sure how you start a new forum but maybe one of the moderators or the powers that be start one saying what grants are available and there criteria and any success stories in gaining grants
