Blue Screen driver irql not less or equal

Options
Just managed to get rid of a virus and now dads pc started displaying a blue screen with a "driver IRQL not less or equal" error.

Not sure what to do any ideas?

  • In your case, probably removing the virus has removed part of a program as well, so if you can identify the program, then it can be re-installed!

  • There's a program called NirSoft bluescreenview. I highly recommend it, it gives you details regarding any blue screens. Anything associated with it and pretty much allows you to track down the cuase of it.

    I had a blue screen issue for ages and was recommended this program. Basically pointed at the cause of it which was a driver associated with an old program I never used, simply unistalled completely and no more blue screens.

    Cheers had a look at that and dont see any .dmp files at the mintue

    Will try NirSoft bluescreenview antispam246 and see what happens thanks
