    Thank you.
Just so that it is clear to anyone who may be concerned. we now agree that :

    1. You do not have to vote to secure a windfall (if the dm goes through)
    2. You do not have to have confirmed your details before the vote.
    3. There will be an opportunity for eligible policy holders to confirm details and receive any windfall payment after the vote.

That's exactly what I said in my first post. Since you agree not quite sure why you took issue in the firs tplace...but I guess the main thing is that the situation has now been clarified for any readers and that those who have not confirmed details yet need not panic.

Good grief. All you had to was actually read what I wrote rather than having a pop at me and accusing me of making "alarmist statements".

This is becoming a little cicrular. You originally said that those who had not confirmed details before the vote and did not vote would not get a dm windfall. You suggested that 500,000 people would be affected and they must act quickly to confirm before vote or lose windfall. As one of them I was alarmed...that's whay I call it alarmist...it caused alarm.

Having checked with SL and found that not to be the case, I tried to clarify the situation for others by making it clear that one could confirm details AFTER the vote and still receive dm windfall. I did so merely to allay any fears your posts might have raised, such as my own. You told me my information was incorrect...quoting a web site extract that did not preclude the possibility. You now seem to have come around to the view that one can indeed confirm details after the vote...somehwhat against the tenor of your earlier posts. That was the only point I was trying to make.

    two possibilities occur to me:

    1. You are eager to encourage as many people to vote for dm as possible by hook or by crook. Which is fine but why not jsut so from the outset?

    2. You are one of those people who can never admit a mistake.

Whichever it is, good luck to you. I consider the matter closed. If you wish to have the final word please feel free.
