Kenwood Separates

Options
Hi everyone,

We were given a stereo system by Kenwood which is a set of separates like amplifier, cd player etc. It is quite old but had a great sound to it when the person who gave it to us had it. Thing is it came with this kind of large plug that you plugged all the separate bits into (they had these special plugs on the end not normal 3 pin plugs) then you just plugged the one thing into the mains.

Well this went missing in the process of them passing it on to us so we cant plug anything in and it has been sitting around for about a year doing nothing. Would really like to use it as the one in our bedroom is past it and not working properly but I dont know what to search for to buy a new plug thing lol. Does anyone know what they are called so I can find out if they still sell them anywhere, thought of Maplin but again I dont know what they are called to look for them.

Many thanks

Not sure myself but it sounds like some kind of transformer or power distribution kit.. i'd recommend asking in https://www.avforums.com where your more likely to find someone in the know. Once you've established what it is i'd look on ebay.

You could always cut the plugs off and fit normal mains plugs.
I do remember the plugs you are talking about, but can't remember what they are called to google them.
