Yes you can try for your reasons you have.
How long ago did you take this out?
They have 8 weeks to respond in full, keep at them until they resolve or until they issue you with the final decision, which should also if eligible give details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you should be able to take your complaint to these if your not happy with the outcome.
You do not have to write the amounts down though, but best to post by recorded delivery, for your proof of posting, a link below of Martins, will help, you will find templates and a checklist of mis selling reasons, if any of them also accur to you then write those reasons as well.
