Thank you for the URL, :money: yes, it does say if over 26 and a full time mature student (which I am :) ) but, it does also say that I needed to fill out the "mature student" section of the form. As this has been applied for via the NatWest Student Account, the actual card still has "16-25 Railcard" emblazoned on it and does not state "Mature Student" (although it is obvious that I am  ).

So, does anyone know if that is usual - ie, they *all* have the 16-25 wording regardless of which category the student falls into?
The Mature Student section refers to the bit of the form you fill in if you just buy the Card from the station. You have to have either the form stamped by your Uni or a letter from your Uni. But as this is through NatWest this bit doesn't really apply. And yes they're all called '16-25 railcard' even if you're not, AFAIK.
I don't think a ticket inspector is really going to be that bothered tbh. After all, you have the card with all your correct details on it. It'd have to be a pretty big !!!! up if they'd managed to fully process and give you your card when you weren't entitled to it.

As a railway employee, I would say that I would probably confiscate your ticket, and issue a fraudulent travel report. Sorry :(

So on the day before my 25 birthday - lets say 01/02/10 i get a new railcard, and i am 26, technically this is not fraud as the t+c's say that as long as the card is brough when you are 25 you can use it till it expires

  • Calm down sweet, and read the other responses. For the record, it's a fraudulent travel report (or ticket irregularity report). It doesn't mean it IS fraud, merely that there is a reason to flag it up.

With a few small changes it,s the same thing as what was the Young Persons railcard, and some of the faces I saw carrying these !!! WOW. Go on and use it with a smile.
