Have I been mis-sold

Hi, I have a Virgin credit card(MBNA), I can't recall being asked if I wanted payment protection in the first instance. However, I work for a company where I get really good benefits, the main one being if I am off sick for any reason then I get paid full pay for six months then half pay for a further six months. The question is, have I been mis-sold PPI.

Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated.

There is a guide here with template letters etc and in answer to your question, then you could have complaint, yes.

I would send off a letter stating your own reasons and send by recorded delivery and you then give them 8 weeks for a full and final response.

Totally agree with what marshallka is saying. Also, the very fact that you say you "can't recall being asked if I wanted PPI in the first place" is grounds enough to me to go for a reclaim.

If the salesperson had asked you if you wanted the PPI, they should have fully explained what it did and didn't cover - thus most people should have remembered the conversation if it had taken place.

Go for it and good luck :T
