NO locks fitted on bathroom, toilet, & bedroom doors, student house; is this kosher?!

Unless there is a separate fire escape upstairs, there won't be locks on the bedrooms.
There is no legal requirement TO fit internal locks, but there are several prohibitions to PREVENT locks being fitted.
The windows in one or more of the bedrooms may be classed as a Means of Escape.
As for it being kosher, I didn't realise that Jewish people had their own rules about locks....British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
If they are rented out separately doesn't that make it a HMO anyway?
OP, does it have a fire alarm fitted?
It may do in licensing terms, but in planning terms it wouldn't necessarily require change of use. Locks on doors is a big indicator that it would require change of use.
As for the TV license thing - do you really need a tv in your room? would they have any clue if you did or didn't have one?0
