Fax/Answering Machine - any recommendations?

I need to buy a new fax answering machine soon. Can anybody recommend makes and models to consider bearing mind also the cost of consumables. any help would be much appreciated as I'm finding it difficult to choose.

I use a canon Fax B-820 and have found it a great bit of kit. Uses ink jet cartridges. Bought it a while ago on Amazon.

NOt cheap but the brother MFC 640CW has the lot.

good printer, copier, scanner, fax and answering machine.
